For the next two weekends, Houston will be turned into international haven with a special spotlight on Argentina. 6 stages of music, booths lining the streets offering food and treasures and 4 days of glorious culture for only $15 a day! I haven’t missed an iFest in yeaaaars. If you’ve never been, then you absolutely have to check out the Chevron Argentina Living Museum. Each year, sponsored by Chevron, the folks behind iFest build a museum that you can walk through, walk on, climb on, lean over and learn from while actively participating a piece of re-created history. There is a long list of bands taking the stage over the 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th of April but one that makes me particularly excited is Los Amigos Invisibles. A few friends and I saw them play House of Blues last year and we have been waiting for months to see them play again. These Venezuelan rockers bring an unimaginable energy that absolutely must be experienced. And, you’ve got two chances this weekend. Los Amigos Invisibles will play at 4:30pm on Saturday and 3:00pm on Sunday. So get there early and make a weekend out of it. And don’t forget to catch Houston’s own Rocky Moon and Bolt on April 29th at 6:30pm!
